Curriculum Chromæ

“Curriculum Chromæ” is a conceptual unit on color. Coming up with the -æ ending involves a linguistic play which echoes back to the term vitae and represents my long-standing research and reflections on color in this biographical endeavor.

The secondary green color reduces the tension as it creates a sense of catharsis following an evolution whose completion results from the restoration of the natural order. Its abundance in nature reflects green’s essential role as a determining factor in an unpretentious sequence which has been associated with the developmental qualities of nature and man. Interacting with the green color brings to mind the spring and unaffected beauty. The necessity of green’s presence is conditional on its invigorating capacities inspiring safety and stability. It is associated with giving birth and with the carelessness of youth. Its simplicity creates an unprecedented energy that mirrors the boundaries of existence with life.
