Human existence and its limits. Inevitably fatal interwoven concepts. The Delphic phrase "nothing in excess", the Aristotelian "mesotis", the tragic "hubris" betoken since antiquity. Limits – or Boundaries preferably - just “exist”, but also are to be set. They are a part of the human world, destiny, and also being set by ourselves and others. They afflict us, but on the other hand, they reassure us. Their excess, requested or unintentional, is punished relentlessly. Even though Artists and others, brave ones, - cheeky daredevil - compete with them, embellishing and enriching the human experience, there are a lot - humble ones - who cannot stand them, and as a result they bend and crash. “Crisis“ describes this overstressed situation of the modern man, whose limits got put off by a brutal, merciless reality which nullifies the human existence and cancels its substance. The desperate and agonizing scream – which reminds us of the flagship "Scream" of Edvard Munch – is the frantic reaction to the absurd and repulsive of our world. The screaming of the man who - without terms and limits - seeks for LIFE. With power, agony, greediness and cruelty, shuts his eyes to the wild, original desire of freedom, entrenched in the forms of likely and the improbable. The loss of the internal harmony of the modern man and the social crisis leads to corruption. It forbodes what I’m afraid of, screams out everything that is not allowed to be said… This artwork proposes a dynamic explanation of the subject of this upcoming biennale. The virtual mathematical function of limf that is appearing in the painting, describes the situation that the subject has been trapped into. When life reaches the critical value of x0, the result is always L (e.g. l is a value inside borders!). This man, feels like reaching beyond his borders, and - like when a supersonic jet reaches sound velocity – releases the exasperation of him by screaming at his inner ego. Crossing the borders, passing the limits, is a big and tough step for a man to move to the next step.
